Abstract:

Colorectal carcinoma is significant health issue, even in 21st century. Contemporary screening approach includes early detection of premalignant and malignant colonic lesions which in turn leads to the possibility of early removal of these lesions, primarily by non-surgical methods. There are two endoscopic methods which are commonly used today for this purpose, polipectomy and endoscopic mucosal resection. Endoscopic management of malignant colonic obstruction includes laser therapy or self-expandable metal stents placement.
