Chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs - pathogenesis, diagnostics and therapeutic approach

Abstract:
The chronic venous insufficiency starts by promoting the case of events. This results in the venous and tissue pathological take changes as the consequences of the chronic venous insufficiency. Venous leg ulcer occurs in the distal part of the shin, mostly around the medial malleolus. The base of the ulcer is often covered by yellowish fibrin layer. Arterial leg ulcer is caused by arterial insufficiency. It is round in shape with dry basis and involves deeper structures, up to the tendons. Therapy of ulcers is demanding and consists of numerous general measures, topical and/or systemic .therapy.
