Abstract:

Obesity is a world’s growing health problem. In 2014, the World Health Organization published alarming data on the epidemic proportions of obesity, being reported in more than 600 million adults. The prevalence in women is higher than in men and ranges from 6.2 to 36.5%. It should be noted that as early as in childhood, obesity reaches 8.8%. Recognizing this problem in a timely manner and applying appropriate treatment at any age is of particular importance.
