Acute skin reactivity to sun in children

Abstract:

Photodermatoses are skin disorders resulting from abnormal response to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. They are mediated by photosensitizing substances of either endogenous or exogenous origin. Light-induced skin eruption is not a common problem in paediatric dermatology. However, the condition often causes trouble and discomfort to the affected children and their parents. Therefore, these skin disorders deserve our special attention, primarily to avoid the consequences of delayed effects of sun on the skin
