Efficacy of budesonide/formoterol therapy using Turbuhaler for maintaining disease control and the treatment of acute deterioration in comparison to conventional treatment which involves the application of SABA to alleviate the symptoms of asthma

Abstract:

Treating asthma with a budesonide/formoterol single inhaler (Turbuhaler), as a theraphy for achieving and maintaining the control of asthma, and, if needed, for the alleviation of symptoms, reduces the number of exacerbations, the number of days for treating exacerbations and enables achieving good asthma control with lower doses of inhaled corticosteroids. By using single inhaler (Turbuhaler), the budesonide/formoterol therapy maintains and treats acute exacerbations while providing better overall asthma control, compared to conventional therapies chosen by doctors, in accordance with the relevant guidelines.
