The Working Group for Acute Coronary Syndrome of the Croatian Cardiac Society was founded in 2004 and led the organization of the Croatian Network of Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. It is a system of treatment for acute myocardial infarction with top results and recognition in Croatia and the world, which has become part of the everyday health care system in our country over the decades. This Working Group also monitors and strives to improve other aspects of the overall acute and intensive care of patients with cardiovascular diseases in Croatia through a whole range of its activities over several years. In these activities, there is a long-standing fruitful cooperation with the Association for Acute Cardiovascular Care of the European Society of Cardiology.
