Zaštita vida školske djece i adolescenataProtecting the vision of schoolchildren and adolescents

Dugogodišnje iskustvo zaštite vida školske djece i adolescenata, Program mjera specifične i preventivne zdravstvene zaštite školske djece, mladih i studenata (NN 162/06) te tehnološka dostignuća omogućuju optimalnu zaštitu vida. Rano otkrivanje smetnji vida pri obvezatnim sistematskim i namjenskim pregledima, upućivanje na oftalmološku obradu i terapiju omogućuju očuvanje funkcija vida, osobito oštrine vida, vrlo potrebnih, ali i vrlo ugroženih vizualizacijom obrazovnih procesa i života. Izrade smjernica sa stručnim preporukama, uputama i postupnicima težnja su za jedinstvenim i standardiziranim postupcima s ciljem daljnjeg poboljšanja zaštite vida školske djece i mladeži

Many years of experience in safeguarding the vision of school children and adolescents; the Program of Specific and Preventive Healthcare Measures to Protect Schoolchildren, Young Persons and College Students (Narodne novine [The Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia], No. 162/06); and technological advances contribute to the optimal protection of vision today. Early diagnosis of vision disorders during mandatory systematic and specialized physical examinations, referrals for ophthalmologic examinations and treatment benefit the preservation of the vision functions, particularly visual acuity, necessary for and endangered by the visualization of the educational processes and life. Guidelines with professional recommendations, instructions and algorithms were prepared to ensure the standardization of procedures and continued improvement in the protection of vision of school children and adolescents.
